Portable power stations are often grouped by numbers such as 300W, 1000W, 2000W, or by battery sizes measured in watt-hours. Those numbers describe different things. This hub organizes WattOutpost guides around capacity and output classes without treating watts and watt-hours as interchangeable.
Current capacity guide
- 1000W portable power stations: 1000W vs 1000Wh explained — compare the ~1kWh class while keeping inverter output and battery capacity separate.
Watts and watt-hours
Watts (W) describe how much power an inverter can deliver at a moment in time. Watt-hours (Wh) describe stored energy. A station with roughly 1,000Wh of battery capacity may have an inverter rated well above or below 1,000W, so both specifications must be checked for the intended load.
Future 2kW and higher-capacity guides will be linked here only after those pages are complete and ready for readers.
